Vermont Fall Mist Kodachrome 1985

Used a Nikon 35mm Camera not sure if it was my N8008? but ASA 200 Kodachrome and made a makeshift Graduated Soft filter with a thin sheet of Lab Glass and a very thin coat of Vaseline spread half way on the upper portion of the glass using a Credit Card to create a very thin coating.

It was a Very misty rainy day in Northern Vermont near the town of Fairfax Oct. 7, 1985.

Very pretty shot. I can remember making some of those "old school" effects filters out of Vaseline, hairspray, old pantyhose, window screen, crinkled cellophane etc. Guess we were more "artsy" in our youth!

Awesome GT! What we use to do to make a shot. Now look at us. We do it in a computer. Never thought that would happen.:)

Thanks Erv, yep experimentation with different effects or tools to create a hopefully good outcome to our images I think was the foundation to creating the today's photo editing software.

Not artsy rocco, we just used every bit of material we had on hand. Filters were way to expensive. Right?

I think you are right. We gave them all the good ideas and they are making all the money.:):) Funny story about panty hose. I use to take the whole thing to weddings. never thought about cutting them into pieces. And I always got strange looks.:):):)
