I just got Sigma 50-500 lens, after testing, I am very disappoint, it is no possible compare with my Canon 100-400mm, zoom in not clear like non-focus, I list it in ebay try to sell it.

Very nice. I've got that lens too, and twisted dear hubby's arm into going birding Saturday. The sandhill cranes are going through, I want to go to the wetlands and see if they're out and about this weekend.

Actually Nikonian72 got the EXIF info. I forgot about accessing it, but my friend "bailed me out!" Thanks, D.
Do most of you hogs use the tripod collar on this lens? Just curious about the strain on the mount(s). I'm very unsteady and will try to optomize my tripod, but that's not alwsys feasible.
