I just found the UHH forum a week ago and have enjoying reading all of the great info found on these pages.
I have a bit of an dillema of my own that I would like to throw out there for some feedback.
I own a Nikon D7001 which I have been shooting since it was introduced a year ago. I have been using the Nikon 18-200 I have been using on my earlier models since the lens was new. I want to move onto a lens which deem to be more usable for me. After reading many lens reviews I have decided on the Nikon 16mm-85mm 3.5-4.5 ED G VR lens. While I perusing the different sources check out info one the lens, I went into the Amazon site where I had purchased my D7100. When I pulled this lens up a notice came up that this 16-85 Nikon lens was not compatable with the 7100 and recommend that I not buy this lens for the D7100. The D7000 was OK, but not the D7100. Based on some other articles which did not mention any compatability problems, per-say, did mention that the new 24 MP bypass CMOS might not work as well in all situations.
If any of you Nikon users have used this lens on a D7100 I would be very interested on your experiences, good and bad. I really want this lens if it marries welll to the D7100.
Thanks in advance!
Welcome! You live in a photographer's heaven.
