Taking Concert Pics with new SX50

Tomorrow, I'm going to the Sting concert @ MSG & want to take pics using my new SX50. Any suggestions as to whether I should shoot in "Auto", "Night", etc., or raise the ISO? Also, should I leave the lens shade on or take it off? Since I don't want the flash on, will just keeping it closed down turn it off?

Wow Geagle, that sounds like a really tall order for your camera, but I've never used one, so don't really know.
Does it have a full manual option and can shoot RAW?
Lots have that camera, let's see what the say.

here is what I would do. Shutter Priority @ 1/125 ISO @ 800 to 1600 depending on lighting. That should get you in the ballpark.
