well, thanks for the confidence booster. tainkc - :D
I think I'm gonna go back to the same place or maybe a different spot on the track but I'm gonna go back once there is green on the trees & see if it makes it a prettier, more desirable shot. I hate this time of year, it's so yucky :(

Try checking for the time the trains cross a certain section...

love the perspective of the rr photos as well as the color. you do have an eye forcomposition. don't like the overexposed sky though. when you can invest in a good circular polarizer to improve skies, reduce reflection and helps with colors. Your hawk in flight photos are a good capture especially for a p+s :-D 8-) :!: post more i enjoy your work and your avatars

Well, have to admit that trains haven't been in my viewfinder very often and I'd be embarrassed to admit to how many hours it took me to find this one picture. But basically this is what we have available around here and I just don't see me chasing a coal train.

I know this pic is pretty lame compared to the others here but hey, I was chasing storms not trains!

Roadrunner, I'm not even sure if we have a local train station # to call, I will have 2 do some investigating, lol.

wrr, ur picture is just fine, besides..... It has some awesome clouds in the pic & that can only mean there is lightning near by, right? (wink, wink)
I get excited when we have severe thunderstorm warnings - we don't have storms like u do & we've only had a couple tornados (kinda bums me out a lil, not cause I want 2 see ppl hurt or I wish terrible stuff on ppl) I just want 2 see a wicked funnel ;)
