This man spoke to me.
Wow. What a great little youtube flick. First I thought
.. shame on me! Then I began to feel this incredible drive and determination to do a better job of learning about the gear I have, instead of thinking about what lens I want next.

I haven't watched it yet but I will. Zack Arias is quite a guy and his work is good. I have watched a couple interviews with him and found them informative and enjoyable. Thanks for the link.
That was wonderful, and sure made a lot of sense. And now I'm going to give myself some projects/goals because of it :D
Thank you for sharing the link, Nightski.

Good information...... a reality check for sure. TY for posting.
I am guilty as charged...chasing the technology instead of chasing the skills.
Great video. Thanks for sharing.. Puts it all into perspective a little bit.
The fact is that relatively few photographers ever master their medium. Instead they allow the medium to master them and go on an endless squirrel cage chase from new lens to new paper to new developer to new gadget, never staying with one piece of equipment long enough to learn its full capacities, becoming lost in a maze of technical information that is of little or no use since they dont know what to do with it.
