Some days, it's nearly impossible to find the wild horses roaming northern Nevada, and others... wow, up close and practically personal. Here, we find a lovely Pinto grazing hillside a distance from the road, fully intent on a meal. The ultimate space between us became 15'. While the horses are habituated to humans, they ordinarily maintain as much distance as possible at all times. This as an extraordinary encounter, therefore.

Such nice shots! Whenever we visit Reno we always go looking for the wild horses, I have been lucky enough to get fairly close on two occasions. Very nice!!!
