Some of us are convinced that the marine architect who designed this platform "thought" he was designing something else - it is definitely the most intricate rendering of a fishing pier I have ever seen. This is a photo of the actual structure extending from shore, but edited for display (the grey area in the foreground is a paved parking lot).

Certainly has an aesthetic, that pier, unlike any other. There is an "invitation" to the structure that I like. Neat.

Looks like garden decking on stilts. Like the picture.
