One of the things I teach is to look all around for pictures, as if you are in a bubble. Pictures are not always at eye level.
The Baltimore Conservatory was an ideal place to visit with all this cold weather. One building was filled with nothing but palm trees. If I was rich, this room would be my living room. All the textures and colors were so interesting and relaxing. To get this picture I laid on a stone bench.

Super shot. I love the way the leaves overlap each other

Like this very much. Well spotted.
I admit I am guilty of looking, but not seeing!

We all look with out seeing. Once you lean to see the whole world is different. We learned photography from our parents. Take a look at an old album of your parents, unless they were photographers, everything is smack dab in the middle of the photo. We carry that over with us as excess baggage.
Look all round, right, left, up and down. Even when photographing a pretty sunset or sunrise turn around to see how the area is transformed with that soft golden light. Some of my nicer shots were behind me not at the subject I was looking at.
