The Crocuses Survived...

Despite bitter cold on Saturday and Sunday, the crocuses emerged from their snow cover unharmed. The snow is melting rapidly now (ah, springtime in the Rockies!) and the next four days look good.

Of course, we get most of our snow here in March and April, but by now the sun is high enough and strong enough that it rarely lasts more than a day.

Thank you,

I tried getting some in the shade, but I was disappointed in the results. The direct sun did a better job bringing out the color.

They sure are.

And I am still smiling at your photo of Annie the cat with the photo of the crocus on a stick. I really got a kick out of that one.

Cool! Yellow and white go together very well! Colorado is a beautiful place.

I like the colors, too. We have some white flowers (snowdrops?), but they didn't show up very well against the snow. :)

Very nice bdo. That's the kind of shot it is easy to walk past and never think if taking a picture. That might be nice on the wall, 16x20.

Thank you.

I'm thinking about a print. I don't know if it will go 16x20, because it was a pretty severe crop. But thanks for the encouragement. I'll look into it.

Thanks you.

We got a very quick coating of ice and snow last night, no more than an inch of snow.. This morning, the sun is shining and it looks like rain as all the ice melts off the trees and falls to the ground. It's melting so fast I don't think I can get any photos before it is gone.
