We just had a similar post, of the same (Tamron) lens for sale ealier today. Why wouldnt you post a photo of THE lens you're offering?! I'd like to see an image of the front and rear elements, and the serial #. It'd make your sale easier, and our suspiscions fewer.

I have here for sale a Nikon 180mm 2.8 ED IF prime lens in like new condition. Really! Looks new. Glass is clean and clear. No scratches anywhere. I just need a smaller prime lens as I do more indoor photography now and 180mm is way to much lens. This lens does however produces very sharp and clear photos and has a built in hood. Auto focus is fast and 100% dead on. Lens body is metal and very sturdy. Has front and rear caps. I checked ebay and this lens is selling for $459+ and I found a new one for $699. I believe my price is more than fair and I will ship.

$400 shipped - If interested PM me with your contact info

Disclaimer: The photo is a stock image and NOT of the actual lens for sale. However my lens looks just as good. Just wanted to be honest.

You seemed to have forgotten to mention about the hair inside the lens that is stuck on the element. Not that it has any effect on the exposure but to just be honest about the sale. After all, you mentioned the hair and was afraid it may be a problem for you in a earlier post. Other people may not like the hair as well.

He also didn't mention that he purchased this lens for $375 in an earlier post.

I took the lens to Midwest Camera repair and they removed the hair. It was on the rear lens and not inside as I thought. Cost me $20.

What I paid for the lens has no bearing on its worth or what I should sell it for.

OK! Took some photos with my cellphone and listed the serial number. And YES I did pay $375 for it and if anyone wants the lens they can have it for $375. I am selling only because this 180mm is a 270mm on my D300. I might as well have a telescope mounted on the D300. Way to much lens. I made a mistake buying it. I need maybe a 35mm, 40mm or 50mm lens.

Actually the magnification is still 180, the field of view(wideness may seem like 270). It is a great lens for sports on a D300.
