If you remember the verbal exchanges last year, between Senator Barbara Boxer (D) CA and the
Army Brigadier General, when she asked him to call her Senator instead of Ma'am
(because she'd worked so hard to get her title),

I saw the original when it aired on the news. My take was that Barbara "I get no respect" Boxer had not the foggiest idea about military protocol. She was more interested in her grandstanding than what the general had to say. Sadly, we have too many leaders with similar arrogant proclivities.

These people are not leaders but rather people that have been misplaced in the roles of a leader. Shame on the ones that voted them into the office.

Agree. After I posted I had some doubts about using the term "leaders".

I think they all forgot that they are elected officials in a government of the people, by the people, and for the people. Which means they are to serve us, not us serving them.

I know I'm missing something here but Boxer, Feinstein and even Brown have been in office many years legally elected by the people. Even Barrack Obama was elected by a 5 million vote plurality for his second term by the people..... enough of your sour grapes and tantrums.

hummm, you just expresed the point exactly. With all those people electing them people to office., what have they done lately for their public. It woould certainly seem probable they they are much better off than most of the people whom elected them to office. I don't see them sharing their wealth, I don't see our politicians paying taxes, using the same health care we do or protecting our savings (Social security) from misappropriation. Again. Yes, they are elected, but they are selfserving and think of themselves as elite and above us. Untouchable as one might see it.

I would agree that this country is disjointed at the least but... what to do?
Have you seen a Republican Jobs Bill as yet...
Have you seen a Republican Health Bill as yet...
Have you seen attempts by the Republicans to do away with health care, social security, medicare,
Have you seen Republican attempts to improve our countries infrastructure...road, bridges, hi ways...
There needs to be some give and take with these programs as apparently the majority of American seem to see value in them....

You are a good man, I had no doubt that you have a hard time seeing these people as leaders. Let's hope the people see represents finally see the same thing.

I truly hate to say it but it Just goes to show how many really stupid people go to the polls. I have been one of them a couple of times but when the next election came around I did my bit to change that.

A five million plurality for a second term is incredible..... you might want to check your positions on a few issues.....
PS That's the kind of government/constitution we have here in the states.

No sour grapes, just stating that some of the officials feel we should serve them. How do you get sour grapes from my comment in the first place?
