This guy decided to get out of the rain a little and wait for the sparrows to come back to the feeders. The slight stripes are rain drops. Luckily the window was nice and clean. This guy stuck around for about 10 minutes and did catch a sparrow in flight.

Check out the talons

Very good shots, woodsliv! What talons! I feel sorry for the poor sparrow. :(

Looks like one of those fellows you'd hate to meet in a dark alley ... or a well lit one for that matter!!

Very clear shots through glass, can't do that here as I have 50 year old windows. Makes me want to update just for the shooting aspect. As good as they are I have to wonder how much better if any they would be if not through the glass. I'd have to pre-open the windows and hope something shows up . Nice shooting. One question, did the bird see you at all?

Good shots, we had a hawk land on a shepherd's hook several years ago.

He came back today and sit around on the fence for 15 minutes and I was able to shoot him in the yard from about 20 '. I post some new pictures soon.
