I've seen this from the freeway many times, but had the chance to stop last month. This is a 5 shot bracket HDR. My wife refused to run onto the road to stop the smear of light trails from passing trucks.

Nice photo. I have always wondered what all those pipes actually do! Refineries really do make a wonderful subject because of the complexity.

The starbursts give it a special quality in my opinion. Was that a handheld shot? If so, it's even more impressive.

I used a tripod with 5 brackets. There were a lot of trucks wizzing by. I removed the few light trails in photoshop. At iso 100, the exposures were quite long.
