This is the worlds largest ferris wheel. Opening this spring, one revolution takes 1/2 hour. With glass enclosed cars, you can stand or sit. They tout amazing views of the strip, but I'm leary of those claims. It's behind the Flamingo hotel and others so that you can't see it very well from the strip. It would be fun to try it though. 550 feet to the top.
As you can see, one car needs to be righted

It looks like a giant bicycle wheel with orbs on it instead of a tire

This one shows the scale in proportion to nearby hotels

Beautiful, I would love to get to Vegas...on my Bucket List for sure!
Very nice photos. Very wild ferrous wheel.
That's a heck of a ferris wheel. Can't imagine what it will cost to ride.

If its like everything else in Vegas it'll be expensive. They were asking $14 per person just to ride the elevator to the top of the Eiffel tower observation deck.
No way would I ever ride that beast, Nice shots.
Looks like the copied the London Eye!

This would be interesting indeed, but I still think the best place to see the "Strip" is from the top of the Stratosphere tower - especially at night.

I personally like being right in the middle of the action down on the strip itself. There is so much going on and people everywhere to watch. But then again I love being in the crowd at the Iowa state fair too. 90 to 100 thousand people any day of the week.
