I liked the image very much but felt the emphasis on yellow did not complement the baseball player. Why yellow in a baseball field?

Appropriately, one of the school colors.

I think the painterly effect works very well. This image deserves to hang in the AD's or recruiter's office or nearby. If you know someone associated with the school you might want to follow up on this.

The only issue you might have is getting the right lighting for the long print.

I think this is pretty wonderful, with the great action shot blended with the school colors, and all that layered texture. You even got some green in there to remind us that the green of baseball fields is a harbinger of spring. I glanced at the offerings and if I had voted you'd have had my #1 vote. Maybe you have to be a baseball person (I qualify, having spent 25+ years following my son from T-ball to the majors) to appreciate it, and if voting were limited to baseball fans, I suspect you'd have prevailed. I have no suggestions, I think it is perfect. Should be printed (big) on canvas wrap and hung where it can be appreciated.

I concur! I voted for it. I think it is awesome. And I don't even like baseball! It absolutely deserves to be on the wall in the coach's office!!

Interesting that you should suggest this. I shoot photography for the ASU Baseball team, and this image has been sent to the public relations person for the team. I have a number of my photos up on the ASU athletics website. Here is another, similar one.

Thank you for your comment.

Thank you. I should ask and see if it made it to the coach's office.

I really like this photo. I can see it as wall art, or as a giant mural behind a sports bar. I reeeeely like it!

Oh God, here it comes.... I would eliminate the green rectangle and nearby marks near the left end of the work. Personal opinion only, no offence.

I have the feeling that there is just too much of nothing worth viewing on the left of the picture. If yellow was used to depict the school colors, there would be enough picture left if some of the left of it was cropped away. It would then direct one's vision to the main subject. IMO.

While I respect your opinion on this, the image was cropped the way it was to try and implement the Rule of Thirds. Right or wrong, that is what happened. Thanks for the feedback.

Here is the link to one which will probably meet with your approval. I would like to know, either way.

I like the format, but not the swath of colors overlaying the subject, once again just my opinion. I believe I'm just not into this type of art.

Sometimes the rule of thirds can be broken and nothing is lost; except for those that are die hard believer in the rule.

And I'll just bet that is why Baskins-Robbins has 31 flavors. Your opinion is noted. I respect it, and understand it. I just do not agree. I do agree with a number of other suggestions made in this thread.
