Last summer, a good friend and I went to Grand Teton National Park for a week and we got extremely lucky with weather and light while we were there. I make the joke that clear, blue skies follow me around where ever I go and it was finally somewhat stormy in Jackson the whole week. My last two visits were awesome but lacked in the weather department, just nothing but clear skies.
Due to the sequestration, the road to Schwabacher Landing was closed and you had to walk a little over a mile to get there. It worked in our favor because nobody was there with us on this morning, and it's my understanding that, that almost never happens at Schwabacher.
Thanks for having a look!
It's pretty of a beautiful place, it just looks overwhelming pink....
An old friend of mine calls that the pinky time of day. Lovely shot.

This is an excellant shot. Was this natural lighting or was a filter used. The reason I ask is I bought the flw filter from Adorama. The filter gives a magenta look to your photos amd it was recomended by Bryan Peterson. I am thinking that a photo as fine as this one would make an interesting canidate for this filter. :? I will have to wait for a pinkish sunrise and try it. Being a pro what do you think. Your website is outstanding.
Beautiful - wud luv to see it in "download" view

Wow, that's a great shot!
Thanks everyone! I was away for the weekend so I didn't get a chance to reply. I appreciate the kind words!
Hi Al,
Thanks for the comment. I used a Singh-Ray 3 stop ND filter on this photo. The sky really popped that morning, and the filter is still nearly invaluable to me when I'm doing landscape photography. I'd recommend any of Singh-Rays ND or Reverse ND 4x6 or 100mm filters, those are the ones that I have experience with and they are phenomenal.
