I`ve been shooting with Canon T3i since Sept. `11; I have 2 lenses: 18-55mm and 55-250mm and am looking to buy Canon 100-400mm for over $1,400 and want to be certain it is compatible with T3i. Due to the holiday, can`t get any info...thought someone here might know. Any help?

The T3i, with it's APS-C sensor, is.compatible with all Ef and EF-S lenses. EF-S lense are not compatible with full-frame cameras like the 1Ds and the 5D Mark II.

It's very compatible! I have the T3i and the 100-400 lens. I do a lot of wildlife and I use it tons and tons.

Thank you, I was pretty sure they`d work together but I wanted to be sure before pulling the trigger. This lens costs more than body and 2 lenses I have put together, I wanted to certain. Thanks again, Mike

It was between the 70-200mm ($2,100 or so ) or the 100-400mm ( $1,400 or so ) and I plan to use it outdoors for landscape and wildlife and I see you use yours a lot and the $700 difference I can use for other gear. Just purchased it from B&H Photo/ $1,439...lowest price I could find.

If I can get shots like your bucks and those hawks are great, I`ll be very pleased.
