These pictures would normally be what I'd consider bad timing, as I was having to shoot into the light. But you've given me a good excuse to share them on UHH under your "Light Illuminating" photo challenge. Thanks Brent! :D

Here's one of mine taken around sunrise on the hill near our house. The clouds took over a few minutes later. In this case, the light is a backdrop rather than a source of illumination.

I think that works. The light source really lights it up! Thanks Vicki for your post.

Please tell me which garden this was taken at! I plan on going to a Japanese garden when I arrive in Seattle the end of May and was tentatively looking at Kubota, but could certainly change my plan. I know there's a Japanese section at the UW, also.

Your capture is stunning!

This is the Japanese Garden at the U. of W. Arboretum in Seattle. Both the gardens and the arboretum are just spectacular in spring and fall.

Very nice trees from Houston! I especially like the second one with the really cool light going through the tree. NICE!

Thank you very much.

An oldy from a color-tour up in Northern Michigan. Wish I was back there. Know I could do it better now. Still want to walk down this road and never did . . .
