In today's horrific mortgage debacle that needs to happen more often, but with many more lenders and servicing companies. Good for them and thank you for sharing.

They foreclosed on thousands of people who didn't even have mortgages with them. Our local branch closed down. They didn't have enough business because they are so expensive. I bank with a credit union - no charges for anything and very low interest on loans.

I'll take Credit Unions in a New York minute! Been doing business with CU's for 52 yrs.
Banks + Sav. & Loans = rapists!!!! If savings acct. doesn't = certain $ level..... U earn $0.0 interest.... However, the minute the bank door is locked for the day, ur $$'s go onto the world wide loan pool for an interest rate unknown to depositors. . . and returned to bank XXX hours later when bank re-opens!
Know several persons that obtained personal loans from CU's - for, of all things, [b]dentures.[/b] Very low interest. Like 2.0%. [color-red]No babble about "dentures are not collateral.[/color-red]
