C'mon folks. If you're smart enough to be on this site, you're smart enough to use these right.
OK. I feel a lot better now.
Please study this chart.
Let's add a little humor.

Today's problem is that many people rely on spellcheck and spellcheck does not know the difference.
Are we learning grammar or photography.

Opinion: Bad grammar diminishes good photography ...
If you have not yet learned how to use proper grammar. This one post will not help you. In my opinion a good photo does not require an explanation. Asking a question and then getting a good response, now that is a different story.
Like it or not, the way you write/talk is a reflection on your education and intelligence. At the very least is is an indication of your attention to detail: do you re-read your post before hitting "send?"
Now if English is not your first language, that is a different story.
Each one of those is a pet peeve of mine. Glad you found a clear way to show examples
    and
Unfortunately there are many people who cannot spell correctly, but if you can understand what a person is trying to say it doesn't really matter if there is some grammatical errors.

I think I'm busted...'specially when hurrying. Never use spellcheck - being 6th grade spelling champ at Audubon Grade School has never let me down..... :) :) :) (lol)
You left out the most irritating one. The word that 75% of the world seems to have forgotten how to spell in the last 5 years: lose. If you didn't win, you did NOT "loose".
My pet peeve is the use of the possessive when the intent is the plural. "This website is popular with photographer's," for example.
"I have seven camera's in my closet."
It's really simple, people. If it's more than one it's plural and there's no need for the apostrophe. If it belongs to someone or something it gets the apostrophe. For example: My camera's lens is broken. Each of my cameras has a lens.
I don't know why it bothers me. I usually try not to be that guy, you know, the one that corrects people's grammar. If I can understand what they're trying to say that's usually good enough. In my own writing I try to be correct. As someone said earlier, it reflects on your attention to detail. I also believe that when you try to communicate with someone it's important to be as clear as possible; especially in writing when things can be taken the wrong way so easily.

Thank you, thank you thank you.
I think people forget that a forum is a form of communication that requires writing and if you wish to be understood you might want to spend a few moments checking your message before hitting send.
Again, thank you.

As to good grammar and spelling = education = intelligence you have to be a nut to say that.
And oh, yeah, English IS my second language.

I agree with you entirely, although I would criticize two very minor errors in your post:
1: The word "proper" should be replaced by "correct"
2: After the word "grammar" there should be a comma not a full stop and the word "This" should have a lower case "t".
The point is your post was spot on, it's the photograph that matters.
Cheers, John.
