Slowly but surely, Obama is turning the heat up on the frogs

The FCC probe certainly sounds like Fascism to me. If Obama's followers sit idly by and let this pass, then we're like frogs in the frying pan.

You seem like a pretty intelligent guy. How can you possibly believe anything from World Net Daily? This is the same outfit that is currently pushing a book claiming that oil is not a fossil fuel and is limitless in supply. The same author also claims that Obama had been secretly gay married. C'mon, I expect a lot more from you than this nonsense from WND. Leave the right wing looney tune stuff to bcheary, gitzmo, and Los Angeles Shooter. You're better than this.

This isn't right wing stuff. Google it and you will see all the major media sites are carrying the story.

Okay, here's an article from the Washington Post. Blurryeyed had previously posted about this. I bypassed the stories about this subject on Fox. I figured I'd get the same type of response. Funny, though, I didn't see anything by NBC or CNN. That DOES make me wonder how news orgs choose their stories.....but not enough for me to want govt. to get involved in answering the question!! What we need is independent newspapers and journalists fighting for stories like we had fifty years ago.

[quote=tschmath]r oil is not a fossil fuel and is limitless in supply.

I don't know to what extent the scientific community has signed up to this theory, but it was discussed in detail on either the Science Channel or National Geographic Channel last year. Neither channel is a bastion of right wing garbage.

If I remember correctly, the new thinking is that there was/and is significantly too much oil in the ground to have been created solely from ancient organic remains.

The program discussing this subject was at least an hour long.

Breaking news from FOX ... the FCC is abandoning its planned observation of news rooms:

But, what else are they up to? We should trust them?

Speedy....This was one lead balloon that I didn't think even the liberals would let fly. After all, freedom of the press is as much (or more) their baby that than the conservatives.

Here is a report from the Wall Street Journal

http://online.wsj.com/news/articles/SB10001424052702304680904579366903828260732

I also saw numerous reports on several business stations.

I have come to expect that ABC,NBC,CBS etc will refuse to report anything that may paint the current administration in a negative light.

Currently Media News organizations are not obligated to present the facts.

The fairness doctrine was dropped long ago.

The Fairness Doctrine was a policy of the United States Federal Communications Commission (FCC), introduced in 1949, that required the holders of broadcast licenses to both present controversial issues of public importance and to do so in a manner that was, in the Commission's view, honest, equitable and balanced. The FCC decided to eliminate the Doctrine in 1987, and in August 2011 the FCC formally removed the language that implemented the Doctrine.[1]

Once again tschmath makes a fool of himself.
If he would watch something other than MSNBC he would have known this was true.

Don't give tschmath such a hard time. Perhaps he was right in questioning the source I posted. I'm not familiar with that particular source, but I'm disappointed that he didn't respond when I posted the Washington Post source.

SteveR.... He and most of the other Left side posters almost NEVER answer when they are proved wrong or foolish..

I made a very simple challenge to a lefty to make some Proofs of his allegations and, he didn't bother to answer or provide.. I have my 50 sites... his will never show up..

Great post Tschmath guy. You've "summed" it well. It's hard to believe some of the sources people cite here. EG: The Eagle Rising, for "gods" sake.

Of course the doctrine was abandoned by the Reagan Admin when the commission was short two commissioners. The two who were not present were democrats!

Why, Reagan had failed to appoint them when he pushed for a change in the fairness doctrine!

Now I wonder why he did not like the fairness doctrine?

That was easy! Once again a foolish response from and utter and complete fool. This story is absolutely true. This version or slightly different versions have appeared on dozens of news sites. Very typical of you and others of your ilk. You CANNOT refute the facts of the story so you just attack the messenger and expect that to suffice. The story originally did not come from some news source, it came from someone actually on the FCC board and was subsequently picked up by many and various news organizations. I will use a line you often use "ARE YOU SERIOUS"? What a fool you are.
