First the wife had a flat in her brand new tire...after I couldn't jack it up..I was force to call the tow truck...$75.00 to take it to the shop....estimated 500.00 for a new tie rod and CV joint and tire...

And then was force do take a cab just to get to work....

Oiy vey..what a day....

Both shots taken with my X100S with the wide angle converter on it...

Why did it need a new tie rod & CV joint? Having just had a call from my wife that her car needs a new front wheel bearing & stabilizer bar. Of course, its all wheel drive, so the bearings are buried in the wheel around the brake.

You should get AAA roadside insurance. They've never let me down. I had 3 or 4 blowouts on my motorhome, a couple of dead batteries and a wrecked car, and they always came and got me back on the road again or towed me to a repair center for an annual cost of something like $70

It might not need a new one...but I'm guessing it will...it's never been replaced. They might just have to pop it back in.

The tie rod...not sure...if it's straight or bent...that depends also.

And here I thought my week was bad, Sunday I had a 1000 gal water tank with 800 gals of liquid fertlilzer in it, pulled off highway to gas well road , bam stopped and found a blown out tire and a busted leaf spring, boss was filling spray rig while i went to shop and got tools and 2 tires (1 looked like it could blow out any time) came back changed tire (got to love them portable air compressors and impact tools) towed it back to shop very slowly and tied axle in place with a come a long and wired a 4x4 block between axle and frame to finish day.
Monday had 700 gals of fertilizer in tank pulled off main road to county road going to field and noticed a rear tire wobbling , lost 5 lug bolts 1 1/2 way out, luckly still had tools etc in truck, jacked up robbed a lug bolt from other 3 tires n was back in business.
Tuesday almost same place as Monday pulling a 800 gal ( empty ) anhydrous ammoania tank bam tire blows out, 1 spare tire n tools still in truck so its time to change my 3 tire in 3 days mind you these are big ass farm implment tires.
Is tired of tire problems .

Sounds like you could use some vehicle maintenance and/or new tires on said vehicles.

I think roadside insurance added to my State Farm auto insurance is only a few dollars a month.
