Just picked up this lens for $375 in mint condition but I do not know if this was a good deal or not. So far I love it as it is so sharp. Best lens I have had to date. Anyone else have any experience with this lens?

I have one and use it all the time for these shots. I think you got a great deal and you will really like that lens.

Great for sports. Use it at f2.8 to drop out backgrounds on portraits, flowers, etc. If you check Nikon's listing, it may also be usable with an extender to make a longer lens for wildlife and birding.
