This young little House Finch looks a tiny bit like the Yosemite Sam cartoon character or maybe I got high on our rum cake and I'm imagining things.

20-25 feet distance - 1/200 sec,- f/6.3 - ISO 800 - 600mm focal length.

Thank you, Carlysue. The Finch can't draw, but maybe he or she can wing it.

I'm loving that lens and what you're doing with it. Love the dead pan expression.

Thank you, Bob. You don't very often see a wildlife creature that resembles someone.

Cute bird shot, as usual. At 25 feet distance you still have enough time to catch great shots. Do you have a bird blind for your backyard or can you tell us how you train them not to spook? Always look forward to see pictures of your friends.

Thank you, Tpharm. I use the sliding glass door and open it slowly as to not scare the birds away. If this doesn't work then I slide open my bedroom widow (facing the back yard) and take a shot through it. Sometimes the birds fly away and sometimes they are so hungry they don't seem to care that I am bout 20-25 feet away.

I wouldn't have thought it until you suggested it. Now I can see the resemblance to Sam. Everything but the six-guns. Great shot.

Thank you very much, John. I can almost see Yosemite Sam (alias House Finch) reaching for his six-guns.
