The purple mountain is part of the Manzano chain, as seen from our front porch. Facing E/SE, 20 miles away, across the Rio Grand River valley. Taken as the sun set.
The other two are the mesa to the west about 1.5 miles away, across the I25 interstate highway. Taken at sunrise.
From our patio. We enjoy the view here as it changes all day with the movement of the sun.

Hi....I'm heading to the Bernardo Wildlife Refuge this weekend. I see you're in Belen. Have you ever been to Bernardo? I'm wondering if it's worth the 60 mile drive from Rio Rancho.

Bernardo is great in winter time. But I heard the Cranes and Geese are gone already.
