Hi AFD68,

I have good luck with Photoshop CC or Photoshop Elements 11. I'm sure there are others but these two work well for me. Take care & ...

Each swears by one or the other depending on their work habit.
Like Al Beatty, I use PS CC. PTGUI kept messing up and the free MS Ice is excellent only if you use their photosync web site.

PTGUI screws up with me as well or is that I screw up PTGUI, but never the less I have found rather using their automatic creating scripts if I step thru the process manually one by one it works fine from begin to start. I do not profess to be an expert however my steps are bring the photos in, then manually find the control points, use the optimizer, view the Panoramic, make adjustments here and then create Panoramic the software flows thru great.

The second I use the automated process and go to view the temp output the software shuts down and keeps shutting down.

YMMV

Willie

Take a look at Arcsoft Panorama Maker Pro, I use it for Gigapixel size panoramas regularly and it handles them very nicely!

Check out Microsoft's ICE. It is a pentapixel compositing editor. It will handle (auto arrange and stitch) over 2000 images. My record is 42. Go to microsoft.com and search for ice (image compositing editor. It is a free download.

It depends on the photos. I use Zoom Browser EX that came with my Canon, PSE, Hugin, and Microsoft ICE. Sometimes one program does a lousy job and another gets it right.

Haven't tried this one yet... yeah, I've tried quite a few. I'll check this out---it looks a little more user friendly than PTgui. The price is right.

Its actually very user friendly, and you have full control over how much automation the program does.

Serif has a pano program for about $20.00 that works well, and also allows you to produce an image that you can tilt, zoom and pan, and is still small enough to email. Uses Quicktime
