I need to take an online course in Photoshop Elements. I've been working in Aperture for quite a while, but it has limitations. With PE I'd like some kind of tutorial that starts at A, very basic, and moves from there. I know there's an abundance of stuff on YouTube, but I'd rather take something that will take me into the program in a cohesive and organized fashion rather than a shotgun approach that I fear will be the case with YouTube. I've been looking at Lynda.com. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.
I recently purchased Elements and the thank you note I got from Adobe that referred me to a set of adobe TV tutorials. They appear to be what i want from "lynda.com" and they're FREE! It'll give me a start.
http://tv.adobe.com/show/learn-photoshop-elements-12?trackingid=KIBMRI also just got Lightroom. I'd like to use both programs just as picture editors. I can handle files with Explorer (I've been doing it for 20 years) and I see no compelling reason to change.

Thanks for the tip and the link. I'll definitely check it out.
I took a look at the suggestion from Ambrose. For me, I think that might be easier to follow.

Thanks to all the helpful folks on here. I checked out some of the above links. However, I've a problem that I've not seen mentioned here....I am deaf and need to find a source of tutorials that have a printed link so that I can follow along....I could use this also for other Photography lessons if I could just find a resource that offers this. Thanks for any suggestions. Dee

try Scot Kelby books
lots of internet camera magazines have printed tutorials especially the older more well established ones.
PSE basics have changed little - try searching for tutorials on older versions - they may not rely as much on you-tube
I'm new to Photoshop Elements and took the time to look at this video (26 minutes) and found it useful for me. It does not show everything, but enough that I get the ideas of the program organization. I will look at several of the others listed by others here too.

Thank you, G Brown,
An excellent suggestion, which I'd never thought of trying. Will definitely check this one out!

I would definitely recommend Lynda.com. I spent years trying to learn Photoshop using books but I never got very far. I went to Lynda and in just a couple of months I learned how to do a lot. The videos were short and informative. Beats trying to read a book...
