I posted a while back about the untimely demise of my D5100. I received the replacement on Friday and took it out Saturday for a spin. I'm posting a few shots I took at White Rock Lake in Dallas. (a CCC project from the 30's) My wife likes the one with the bicyclist. I'm posting 1024 x 662's. I'll include a link to the full sized set. http://www.flickr.com/photos/25131076@N06/sets/72157641082283314/
BTW, I normally use KEH or Adorama but this time I took a chance on a new seller on Amazon, JDBailey. The camera body was advertised as 'used, like new'. It appeared new in the box with all accessories, CD's & documentation. The shutter count was 286. The seller included David Bush's D5100 guide and his D5100 field guide, an I.R. Remote & a Tiffen 67mm CP filter. All for 296.00.....

Do you mean wider angle shots?

These are all very nice, but I agree with your wife, the one with the bicycle is outstanding!

Excellent set. . $296 for a D5100 & all those accessories? Must be a typo, or I am not reading it right. :-)

I know what you mean..... You know how people always talk about the great deals they get? I'm the guy who is normally on the other end of that particular Teeter-Totter. Probably never happen to me again. :-)

In the last 36 years I can't think of a single instance where she's been wrong....... Not that I'll admit to, anyway! ;)

Being without my camera for a week was sort of like being in withdrawal!

Thanks for the feedback! I sort of feel that a sunset is a sunset is a sunset unless there is some sort of an additional element. I tried to use the Cattail reeds for a framing effect in 1. In #2 I almost feel like it became too cluttered with the tree, skyline & bicyclist - but I still like it. (although it looks like the general trend is going in that direction) I actually think #6 may be my fav.... Gradient colors and a simple foreground element......
