What is the perfect video editer? Alex for $300 The answer is...

Camtasia Studio 8
30 days trial free I've never had something I did not own I need and want more. Without an alternative I will want! to shell out the $300 bucks.

My goal was to create the split screen side by side 3D sbs video. I did just that.

I feel obligated to describe/review some of the featurse for future readers.
It can and does record everything on the screen including the sound. Or microphones, web cams, YouTube whatever it don't matter.(be careful not to scroll around it gets Everything!)

You can reduce or enlarge the image/live video and move it about the screen.
You can/set preset change the Frame Rates:-o aspect ratios and resolution. and different on each video imported into the timeline. (so the spit out the same at the end.)

You can also Crop! images AND! even live video, maintaining the aspect ratio OR simply dragging them larger or smaller if changing the aspect ratio as desired  the test footage from the T3 Can be enlarged to match the same test footage shot using the T2i the cameras did not match but I shot the video anyway. Glad I did.
You can add/import into it a second or even 3rd video and again make it any size you want anywhere on the page
This is what has allowed me to create the side by side 3 D videos shot with the Matching and No Matching DSLR's.
(For 3D matching DSLR's or any digital camera or camcorder recommended saving time resizing and if need be, color match in post.)

Shooting/Recording 3D results in a wider (panoramic photo/video) This is perfect for 3D and the rebel T2I because on standard def 640 x 480 it does not shut down like it always does on 1080p and it makes a nice big square view so the two fit very well and large on the wide screen monitor after they are placed side by side. :XD:

With the two views of 640 resolution input into your brain you get a full screen(not wide screen) HI DEFENITION view. 640 x 2 eyes
Made even better by recording in Hi definition and cropping the video ends to fit the window (not necessary if you want the wide picture and the bars at the top and bottom ) it is very spectacular. 1080p x 2 eyes.

I'm sure it will make parallel sbs 3D videos

And the over and under.
Though I believe that method needs a viewing device

It also imports pictures and the screen shots/videos adds bubble thingy's for txt .
Lots of HiDef graphics to add right on top or under your video because you can change the transparency of each or all videos so you can see threw them or just barely see them,
or fade out completely. :-o

WOW this thing is really a professional Video producer for High End documentary type presentation videos or any kind you can imagine.

I'm scrambling to get all the pre recorded 3D side by side videos formatted side by side before the 30 days is up. I can splice mix and edited them later with music and transitions in my free movie maker later.

There are so many videos that are ruined by simply a towel, coke can or ash tray left in view on the lower right or left that can now be cropped and the aspect ratio, resolution quality be maintained.
That is why I do not have time to discover all the other wonderful things it can do.

It says you can cut around images in video replacing the background as we do with regular photos  email and or share direct on line to your favorite places.
Provide a cloud player/URL# should you want to use to play your videos without the stop go stop go stop go feature built into YouTube.
(tried it, works real good)

Picxterowner,

Sounds great. Would you post links to some videos you made with the software. I'm not clear on how the 3D is viewed or what it looks like. Do you need special glasses? Thanks.

Bob

Thanks Bob for showing an interest in 3D.
However this section of the forum is detected to the discussion about video and video editing itself not related to actual 3D.
Only in this case it gives one reason for placing more then one video into the timeline to run simultaneously with another.
I now think it is 5, I had said 3.

And I add at different sizes plus you can make them grow or decrease in size during playback this would be a very useful tool in documentary type videos and news related events and home video.
I can not justify to the admin the promotion of 3D video within this section with links or Q&A about 3D specifically.
As a user you can start a topic about anything your heart desires and ask specific questions."main photography discussion"
Video is here.

I and many other are more then willing to help.
What kind of videos do you shoot Bob.?
:P

Hi Picsxterowner,

If you are not allowed to answer questions on sbs 3D video, no problem. I'm new to UHH so not sure of how things work. From some of the posts I've seen, I assumed anything was fair game to discuss.

It looks like your link disappeared as well.

Bob

I can talk about in a 3D topic. There is a Q&A topic created by me just for that. Hit me up. :-P
And to what link are you referring to?
I do change my signature at times. Perhaps my Facebook was there. Not since you been a member I do not believe.

Hi Pictxterowner,

In you previous reply you stated "As a user you can start a topic about anything your heart desires and ask specific questions."main photography discussion"
Video is here.

I and many other are more then willing to help. "

I thought you had posted a link after "Video is Here" that had disappeared.

What is the name of your 3D thread? The only one I found by searching UHH is 3D and me SBS in the intro section.

I do my own music, astronomy and microscopy videos and post them to youtube. I'm retired and just do them for my own entertainment.

Bob

Hi Pictxterowner, br br In you previous reply you... (show quote)

Well Bob I got to say you caught me with my pants down.
I have only had this program for about ten days.
I spend a lot more then 8 hours on a 5 minute video.
I can spent a lot more time than that just trying to arrange a soundtrack without stepping on someone toes.

If you will notice in my description of the program it states that I am in the process of combining as much of the footage I have to side by side before the 30 days is up.
At least it implies that I hope. This can be re edited normally later in Windows movie maker.
It speaks about a test video I have with cigarette smoke.

I wasn't planning on releasing it to the public but I can.
I would use my personal YouTube.
90% of all my post contain 3D sbs photos.
There are no videos on UHH.
That's why it (3D sbs) is in my username here and not in my actual topic titles.
If your interested in a 3D video that is more in the spirit of my YouTube Music video channel there has not been a date set for a release there.
I use one name, like Cher :-P
I am the only Pictxterowner on earth. A Google of my name will produce links to anything I've ever published I'm sure.
