What are you not happy about.

THese type of lenses 1.4, 1.8 are great but they are tricky to focus especially if shooting wide open .

If your taking a photo of your grandchild with the lens wide open it is likely the eyes will be in focus and their ears out of fous if your at 1.4.

We really need more information as to what you don't like.

Thank you for quick answer.I feel like I still have some fade on the picture not super clear .
In the book from lens 85mmf/1.4G it is note:
" When mounted on a DX digital single lens reflex camera such as the D90 or D300 this lens has an angle of view of 18*50' and a focal lenght 127.5 mm."
What that mean? I have Nikon D90.
Maybe the lens is not for this camera?
I do not make baby face yet, but I am scared now

You are over thinking this imho,

You have a camera with a smaller sensor than a piece of 35mm film and the 85mm focal length "becomes " more like a 127mm focal length in it's reach. Nothing else changes,

It would be similar to take a photo and cropping out the sides so you just see the center of the image. In fact what is occurring here is called the crop factor.
Unless one has a fullframe digital camera this is always going to happen.

If you mean fade on the picture being the background, then that is what people want with that lens.

What fstop did you use for that flower photo?

Ok,

I happen to love my D700.

Why not just keep practing with our camera, it really is true, it is all about the photographer not the camera. It is just a tool we must learn to do our bidding.

Thank you again
I agree with you 100% not the camera but the photografer. Time ago I have a very, very simple and cheep camera and my pictures was great. Because now everything is more complicate, so many choices in the manue ,this make me crazy. I have many many doubt.
Specialy with my not very good English and also my age ( 60)not help me much.I not grow up with computers ect.
Well I will practis, try and try to get good results.

Just keep practicing. THe issue now is you have more things to think about which distracts from paying as much attention to what is in the view finder.

I tell my students all the time, when you start trying to learn to change fstops, etc. your pictures won"t be as good but if you get learning how to use your camera , then you will no longer have to worry so much about the camera and can redirect your energy to filling the viewfinder properly
