My Organizer keeps crashing just after it opens up. I see my catalog pics....10 seconds later it crashes, a msg pops up saying "elements 10 organizer stopped working".
I can open up the editor and I can work in the editor just fine but when i click on the "organizer" button , it opens up and then crashes.. I talked with Adobe and they are not much help . I even re-installed 10 3 or 4 times. same thing... I dont know where to go now...hoping someone can help......thx

Don't know for sure, but you might try uninstalling PSE 10 first. Reboot, and then reinstall.

The Organizer function of my PSE9 never did work from day 1. Probably wouldn't use PSE at all if it didn't come free with my scanner when I bought it. Adobe has been absolutely no help in a getting it to work either so I just ignore it. Good luck recovering your images.

You can do a search for one of the pix you tried to catalog. When it comes up in the find list, right click and choose, "Open containg folder." in the address box you'll see which folder they're in.

BY the way, I know where my original pix are but where does the editor store the edits for those pix? Do you happen to know? Or did I lose them???

In all the editors I use or have ever used, it seems that the edited picture is still in the folder where the original picture came from.
You should always save your edited pix with a different name. That way you'll keep the original which you may want to edit in a different way someday.

I always label my RAW images and my edited TIFF version with the same name, there is a lot less confusion when looking for a file that way. The .raw and .tif extensions automatically differentiate between the original and edited versions that way.

Snap, do you have old verision of PSE? If so, should uninstall it first before installing new verision-PSE 10. Before uninstall old verision, save all photos and files to my document and my pictures. I have new PSE 10 after uninstalled verision-PSE 7. Everything is a piece of cake!

But if it is an upgrade don't you have to have the old version installed?

Yes, you are correct if you have PSE 9 then use upgrade PSE 10. Mine was an older PSE 7 (3 yrs old) so it had to unistall then installed full version of PSE 10.
