All are very professional and artistic looking. I especially like the fourth photo. Did you toss sand into the beam of light to make it so prominent?
these are great.....time well spent!

Thanks for the complement....no I didn't throw the sand...our guide did. You'd never know from the px...but there were probably 15-20 photogrphers all crowded into two spots...each about the size of a parking space with limited head room. We had 90 seconds to set up...tripod wars insued...3-5 minutes for photos...then we had to clear out so the next group could set up. An amazing place....even with the crowds.
nice, Bets... a different perspective. most photos of the canyon - including mine, i confess - don't emphasize the vertical as well as yours. you've really caught the "salt water taffee machine gone berserk" texture of the place! i think my favorite is the last one, mostly for the colors.
you're right, though, about the crowds and the cramped space. i took the extended "photographers' tour", and we had a bit over 2 hours in the canyon, including a good bit of time with no one but our group of 12, but in the middle of our tour, the other groups came through, and it was elbow-to-elbow, especially in some of the more cramped spots... still, i'd LOVE to go back, especially with my FF body... the 17mm would be so much more effective in there than it was on my 40D!!!
thank you everyone....the canyons are amazing...hard to get a bad shot!
Very impressive, You will enjoy looking at these for years to come !
The colors are amazing- beautiful shots! :-D

Your pictures are wonderful. I have always enjoyed pictures of the slot canyons. Therefore, I am going out to Antelope Canyon this July or August. What hints can you give other than a wide angle lens and a tripod? F settings, ISO, speed, etc. ? Thanks
