I have been using Sandisk Extreme cards which list the write speed as 45 MB/s. I recently purchased new Wintec filemate Elite cards with a write speed of 50 MB/s. When I ordered them from Wal-Mart at the bottom is a video showing a Wintec filemate Elite "plus" card with a write speed of 90 MB/s. Go to this link and look at the very bottom of the page.

These look like they would be beneficial when shooting bursts with the higher megapixel cameras. I have been unable to find them for purchase. Does anyone know more about these?

45 read is the old extreme pro version. I believe the new ones are 90 or 95.

Thank you! I was on a trip and stopped at photo shops and they responded like I was nuts. I missed them on the B and H website when I purchased my latest camera.

I got my wife a 64g card 90mbs on sale for Christmas at Best Buy. At the time it was on sale for less than the 45 mbs cards. try their on line store.

Thanks! I just checked. Their prices were higher than B and H's. I will most likely order from them. I just wish that I asked the UHH readership sooner.

WOW! Maybe if I hold off a little while prices will come down. Like many of the readers I love shooting motor sports. Lots of action with very little effort required on my part. Racing doesn't start here until May. I could live with my 50 MB/s until then.

If you want to use fast cards, nothing wrong with that. But how many actually need cards that fast. Most high MP cameras shoot so slow, I would question their use, and most fast cameras are low MP, that's how they shoot fast. Probably help more to download to a computer. Just saying. ;-)

The new SanDisk's have a write speed of 250MB/s! (mine are still the old ones with either 60MB or 90MB/s).

Do you have a link to one of the major retailers? Amazon maybe? Amazon always shows me all sorts of things I am not looking for.

Never mind. It seems that they are not available until April...

The new UHS-2 SD Cards will not work in most cameras on the market today I was looking at a site this morning it had a picture of the new card's front and back. The pin layout on the new card has 2 horizontal rows of pins. So even my D600 and D7100 can't use them.
