timing is everything..
I think half of those also show that
planning is pretty important. Some really amazing shots. I do wish I knew if any were done in processing, not in a single image capture.

My take is that, at a minimum, a good number are done using layering in pp.
I don't think so... a little too ordinary for photoshopped.

It's just me, but I think those shots lose some of their "wow" factor. The first shot, with the moon and the Olympic rings, becomes a very, very ordinary shot if it was done in pp, something a lot of people could do. But since I believe it is a single image, I can appreciate the effort to get that shot right, especially since it needed a clear night in London! :-)
Regardless of how they were do I found them interesting.
