I bought this about 18 years ago. It wouldn't run, so we had to tow it home (not easy). Thoroughly cleaned the carb & had the exhaust manifold welded. New plugs/points/cap & oil and it's been running great ever since.
I know some of you like old, rusty iron. Sorry, not much rust here. For you purists, I didn't like the original paint scheme, so I went patriotic. It now has a blue seat.
It's a 1959, Case 811B, 4-cyl., 55 H.P., loaded rear wheels.
If you've got a farm - you need a tractor.
Daily driver.
It's not just a pretty face.
really like the 2nd shot

Beautiful job, but deviating from original paint will hurt the resale value. Kidding, of course.

Good for you. You brought it back to life and it now brings joy and usefulness to others. Thanks for sharing.
Well done rehab!
I spent my first 14 years living on a family farm from 1943-1957 that had two working 1940's I-H Farmall tractors, which served as the "engine room" of the farm. They were considered so important to the farm's production that my uncle and two older cousins who were well versed in engine mechanics would tune them up monthly and wash/wax them until they gleamed. Those tractors were still in use 40 years more until family deaths and the farm being sold to a major developer ended their tenure there. Having been sold, I'd wager that they are still in productive use somewhere, if given some care.
Love them. I came across a tractor (steam) show on my way to Antietam battle field and had to stop. It was an enjoyable couple of hours of shooting.

Really excellent job - on both the pictures and the restoration.
