I have an E410 with 14-42 lens. Also have 45-200 which I seldom use anymore. Notice that pictures aren't as bright as with my Lumix FZ28, plus I have the additional zoom capability with it. Have enjoyed the camera, but learning it is a real challenge for me! But that applies to both cameras! But guess that's what all this is about. The reviews indicate it is a good camera, and stands out with its competition. Wish I knew enough to know! But have enjoyed it, and gotten some good pictures with it. Still not sure which camera I like the best.

If he can't handle the shift key and the caps lock, he might have trouble with dgital controls!

I have an Olympus E410 and I think it is a great camera. Over the years I have had it, it has been reliable, easy to use and has produced some very good photographs. I have the two kit lenses that came with it and the 14-42 is especially good on landscapes. It is my backup camera now, but I still use it because I just like it.
