Canon G 1X Mark II

A little while ago, somebody was complaining that this camera was maybe never come to exist in the near future, but it is on sale now at B&H and Adorama as well. It is selling for $ 799 (at the moment). The articulate screen is back, but the viewfinder is gone (it was pretty much useless anyway) and it has quite a slew of improvements to show for. Just thought I let you know (just in case some of you haven't heard).

It's actually a tilting screen instead of the wonderful articulating screen which I love....bummer. :(

I miss the articulating screen of my G12 but love the increased low light and speed of the fixed screen G15. I will not have a camera without some kind of external view finder. I bright sunlight, the screens are near useless on any camera or phone I've seen out there.

Yep must have a view finder. I think the new canon will have an EVF that you can attach to the hot shoe.

I have a very nice little Samsung point and shoot. Takes great pictures but....since you can barely see the screen in bright daylight and with no viewfinder it's more like "point and pray"
I never use it anymore.
