Hi All UHH'rs.
I don't know whether it will work on this site but I am going to try to post a PDF, sent to me by my cousin in the UK.
He is a pro photographer and uses a Nikon D3 camera with some superb high end Nikon glass.
I think the foreword in his pdf album explains it all and I think it could be an ongoing project for a lot of us. The world around us is changing rapidly and without the efforts of we photographers, some of it may be lost forever.
Well! here goes trying to post the pdf.

John.

Well it seems to work if you click the download button but keep the "full screen" off.

Wonderful body of work, John. I enjoyed viewing each and every image! Ian has an excellent "grip" on what he's doing, and, I think, a real compassion for his town.
Thank you for sharing his photography, I hope we'll see more in the future!

This is certainly future history. It should be archived somewhere so future generations can enjoy the foresightedness of a great photographer.

Thanks Danilo. I think the two old cameras show it was a lot easier years ago. Set "Distance" or "Near" nothing else to do except click.

Warm welcome to the group Ian. Your advice in future postings will be invaluable I know.

John.

Redolent of my youth. I do miss the rabbit stews with suet dumplings all crispy on top and soggy beneath - and I don't miss the weather. The move to California thirty years ago has given me the chance to look at England afresh each time I go back and the saddest aspect of each visit is the realisation each time of how much personal safety has declined in the UK since I left. Violence and burglaries seem commonplace in my old hometown and this compares sharply with the security I enjoy here in SOCAL. Ironically the area I live in here has many similarities with the one I called home, so the change is marked.
