Great Gray Owl - Early morning hunt.

The problem with photographing in early morning is that your subject may not be in prime light. On the other hand if your subject is a Great Gray Owl then just be thankful you even saw it let alone take some shots while he's in a hunting mode. It's quite a thrill to see this magnificent raptor.

awesome shots Joe , the 3rd one with his wing on the snow well thats worth getting up early for great set

Lovely shots. I presume that in the last shot the small footprints in the snow coming to an end under the owl mean that the hunt was successful.
