Just want to thanks fellow hogs for all the pleasure it brings me to check out the email that is delivered to my mail box every day. The other day I was on a shoot at Wodakahtchie (Spelling) and a fellow started a conversation with me. Turns out he is a fellow hog. Small world. I was experimenting with a 7D, a 6D and an SX50 the other day. Hope you enjoy.

Steve,

The pictures are fantastic. I have only been doing this for about 18 months. If the bird is standing still, I will get some tack sharp pictures. If that bird is in flight, I loose. I must have taken 60 shots on Saturday and none, in my estimation, came out the way I had hoped. Any suggestions? What is your secret?

Thanks

Ed

Excellent series. The SX50HS is a remarkable little camera. I'm still learning to use mine. :-D :thumbup: :thumbup:

Ed,
Try to;
Use a fast shutter speed above 1/500th at a minimum. Use your lens at widest aperature and you may have to crank up the ISO as well. And pan the camera....Use burst mode.... and practice....A little luck also helps.....

Best,
Steve

Thanks Bcherry.
The photos above that were taken with the sx50 were taken on a tripod. Quite respectable considering.
