I'm aware that card technology is always outstripping the capabilities of older cameras. The Olympus E-3 is rated to take up to a 16GB CF card that can be UDMA and can also have Write Acceleration Standard capability. The E-3 doesn't shoot video so it is pointless to put a really fast transfer rate card in it. Within these parameters is there a good quality CF Card that will maximize my E-3's capabilities?
SanDisk Extreme Pro CF cards from 16gb-256gb depending on your needs!
I have two 16's one writes at up to 90gb sec. And the other writes up to 160gb sec. On my 7D I don't video at all I do like the performance of SanDisk Extreme Pro cf cards are by far the best card I have used! The 16gb. One is UDMA 6 the other is UDMA 7 rated.
Brand matters less these days. Look for speed that fits within your budget. They get cheaper every year. Kingston, transcend, etc. Have yet to get a stinker of any brand other than speed which was my choice at the time of purchase.

#1: SanDisk, #2 Lexar, #3: Transcend. Check for sales on Amazon, eBay, B&HPhotovideo, Adorama, Staples, Office Max, etc. Buy from a reputable vendor. Some unscrupulous manufactures have been known to put these labels on cheap knock-offs. For a well done image, it's worth the cost to get the real deal.
