A stop for me on my way by...
Our paths cross again Roadrunner.
I remember going to one of those old tourist trap places named Santa's Village in Putney when I was about 8 years old +/-. Somewhere is a photo of me, my brother and sister with Santa....close to 50 years ago!

Sorry to say that Santa's Village is now closed. I think this was the last year for it. I have a friend that lives in Putney and she sent me the link to it. The article said that due to the poor econmy business was down 60-70 per centso they were closing. The way of the times I guess!
I don't think these guys really get how profound those photographs are. Geez, I can smell the Bar b que and am so hungry. I wonder if I can get some around here at 3:52 AM?
I've driven by and stopped by this place many times while vacationing in VT.
Curtis is quite a guy, always followed around with his pet pig. Real nice fellow and very community minded also.

Roadrunner.....
Thanks for the photo. I've been here with friends on a motorcyle tour, and returned a few weeks later with my wife in the Summer of '09. This is a great place to sit back and enjoy a bar-b-que. We stopped at an awesome ice cream place not far from here....believe it was called Town Line Creamery (TLC)??? Can't be sure of the name though.
Weekends this place is a bikers rendez-vous, many with CT plates too.
(The beer is in the deli across the road)
True to my word...

Great photo Roadrunner...... BTW, was Curtis' pet pig standing by the grill as he slathered on the sauce?? I've never seen a pig that huge before. I hope he doesn't end up on top of that grill someday!!
The big pig died and then he got another one, much smaller.

Based upon the size of the pig, no doubt it had to be a heart attack! BTW, having the pig sleeping aside the spit did turn some people off.
