Winter has worn out its welcome. We will have at least a foot of snow in western Oregon by Saturday. Someone just came in a 4WD with chains to pick up my daughter for work (in a hospital, so they have to go.)

I know how that goes. I worked for 30 years for the Missouri Highway and Transportation Dept. and they don't close in bad weather. They would send a truck to get you if necessary. There could be a foot of snow on the roads and you got hundreds of calls wanting to know if the roads were slick......
