Often replies on Chit-Chat contain no cogent argument to the discussion.
Often they contain nothing more that an expression of anger. Insults, name calling, slurs and slander. For those who disagree, go back and look at some contentious threads where one puts forth an argument and the other repeatedly responds with nothing but anger.
Psychologists agree on this point: The source of anger is almost always fear!

Interesting way to start a fight! :-D All I have to say is that you live in a very nice town. My wife and I considered moving there at one time as I had an opportunity to be employed (as an archaeologist) by the BLM. I can't remember the name right now, but I stopped by a bar with a tropical name and palm trees on the signage. Made a dozen friends in an hour.

Yes but don't you find the Americans tearing themselves to bits over the three 'Rs' (Race, Religion and Representation) a little bit entertaining? Also I have to admit that some of their arguments have opened my eyes as to how their politics impinges on the rest of the world, Obama's capitulation to Iran for instance. There will always be arguments in chit-chat just get to know those that just play the Devil's advocate and ignore their posts.
