In my mind, which weirds out occasionally, hands work like this. The mind captures what the face does not show and then sends it to the brain and it is comparable to a river which takes its source in the mind, flows to the brain which then creates a river flowing through the arms and the hands receive all of this and the fingers become the estuaries. In short, my fingers are the estuaries of the rivers which flow from my mind.

Physically, hands are a bit like faces in that they have scars, there might be part of a finger missing, they can be calloused and wrinkled, the same as a face which might have a moustache, wrinkled also and scarred but they both express life.

Today is Hands and also what they do, how they express themselves and to express in an even stronger fashion, lighting is important.

I don’t care if you nails are dirty, if your fingers are arthritically out of shape or if they are scarred. After all aren’t scars and beat up nails part of their history. As a matter of fact I don’t care if you have orange polka dotted nail polish either

Lastly….hands denotes the passing of time as you shall see.

Hope you’ll be handy for the next few days.. enjoy.

Great start, of course, RR. Like the analogy and am very glad I don't have to do only my own hands in the shots. Took some this afternoon while the storm raged. Tomorrow is a marathon type day so I'll post a few now. I thought it would be fun to get out some old items I had and here are some of the results. Tonight it will be black gloves. (sure glad it was digital because I ditched soooo many!) Guess these might be formal hands, or "antique" stills. I tried to make heart shapes in the image or the way it was cropped.

Took some of the color out of image below.

Very clever RR. Since we all have hands this should be a greast subject. Can't wait to see what people think of.
