i snapped these yesterday when it was approx 26 degrees out. The girls were under the bird feeder looking for seeds. This morning we are now at -17 degrees and i doubt the girls will be moving in at all.

Beautiful shots, very expressive. Nasty nasty cold. A really hard winter this year. Stay warm, and hot food for Hev!

Thanks Randy,
i just went out to feed her the apples and carrots and grains.
While she was digging into that i got her hay put down.

Its brutal outside but that won't stop her from running up to the far corner of her pasture to check everything out.
How long she will stand there this am, is anyones guess.

This year has been one of the most extremely cold years in my memory. This years low has been six above zero...usually the lowest is in the low double digits above zero.

Have a nice day!

Marilyn, they are wonderful shots, and I love seeing wildlife. How neat that you have them that close and can get those great shots. Always love seeing your work and thanks for sharing :)

i'd trade you, for today..
These days remind me of when i was a kid and water would freeze on the kitchen sink if left in a glass..
Back then they did not have furnaces but kerosene heaters.
Burrr, just drawing from my memory gives me chills.

Thank you Deb.
Do you have any wildlife close by? Or perhaps comes to your yard?
