I saw a pair of Gambel's Quail having their version of a heated discussion this afternoon, too.

This could have been shot from my back porch (I have very similar shots)
2 of the males on our pond have been fighting for about 3 weeks. The 4 ducks still are together. But 2 of them fight off and on all day.
