If you could only have one camera and lens, what would they be and why?
24-70 2.8 covers most situations
OR
70-200 2.8 for the same reason

Weird answer if there was one as they cover different needs and different type of photography. This does not answer the question asked.
d7100 and 18-200 or 18-300 lens. I enjoy my 7100 has a lot of great features and if I had to pick one lens one of those two. I have the 18-200 and a 28-300. the 28 to 300 has better IQ but the 18-200 works for all around travel (for me) I have not used the 18-300 but i would like to try it for the additional reach.

Hasselblad H5D-60 with f4 28mm lens.
No need to ask why.

That's a harder question to answer than you'd first think. I guess the things I enjoy shooting most are sports and the grand kids playing outdoors. If I can only keep one it would be my D7100 with my 70-200mm f2.8 lens. I'm gland the question is hypothetical.

You've posted twice and still haven't answered the question or are you just here to critique other posts.

Canon PowerShot S110 (lens built-in)
Because I can take it with me almost everywhere. :-)

One is a justified critique, one is a comment on the answer offered.
As to your answer, if you want me to criticize it, I can.

You think it is hard to answer? The question is not even really asked!!!
The op does not ask what you enjoy shooting but why you 'would use them for'...
The op does not ask for comments on comments.
Love the gland thingy, you seem obsessed. (joking)
The op asks:

Pepper: Since this is an 'Hypothetical Question' the question itself is not really asked.
HOW can you answer an 'Hypothetical Question'????
So I did not.
Loved the Hasselblad response, It would have been my choice too, had I not been aware for the Mamya-Leaf consortium and their products...

I use a Canon 5D III. So, being a full frame, the 70-200mm L is probably the choice I would make. Mine is an f4.0 IS and it produces fine pics - very tack sharp and great contrast and bokeh. A 2.8L V2 would possibly produce a slightly finer quality pic but for the price and size difference I will stick with my f4.0.

Bridge camera-- either Canon SX50 or one of the latest Sony or Fuji models. Have it basically all in one, no lens to change going from 24mm to 1200mm!!

In the real world of me....
I use a crop sensor camera. My 17-55 2.8 lens would be it.
I take most of my shots with it.

Indy, this question gets asked at least once every couple of months. Where were you on the last go-around?
A Phase One and a set of lenses, what else!! ;-)
