Hello,
Another newbie here from central Florida. I photograph a little bit of everything, but just now I'm working on shooting my roller derby team while I'm out hurt and can't skate. Tips are always appreciated, and I'm constantly searching the internet for ways to improve.

I fractured my pelvis during a derby practice, so I'm not skating for a few weeks while that heals and in the meantime I get to photograph my teammates at our bouts. It's been difficult, since my only option is sitting in a chair, but I've gotten a couple of decent shots.

Get a wheel chair and have them push you around. You should get some great shots!!! :):):) Only a few weeks? Boy I don't think I could heal that fast.:) You must love it! I played hockey for about 6 years and broke something every year.:):)

Welcome to UHH heart. You can learn a lot here. Very knowledgeable and helpful members. Erv gave you a good idea. If you can move around the arena use a wheel chair.
